"Mixing Nia", by award-winning director Alison Swan, is a romantic comedy about a beautiful young woman from a racially-mixed family and the situations in which she finds herself while searching for love and self-understanding.
The opening of the film takes place in Time Square and features an acid jazz score with live samples from street musicians and traffic noise. The finale to the film in which Nia reconciles her mixed heritage is underscored with an orchestra featuring both European and African instruments with chorus. | >
